The system is recommended by WFUMB and EFSUMB (World and European Federations For Ultrasound In Medicine And Biology), meets standards of FASL (European Association for the Study of the Liver) in applying Transient Elastography (TE)

Nondelay full report

Automatic and nondelay report on F1-F4 parameters for estimating the fibrosis state according to METAVIR and fatty liver syndrome scale.

Common method of examination

Transient Elastography is used in the USA, Europe and China for early recognition of patients that need treatment. Compared to biopsy this method is economically and commercially viable.

Features of monitoring

Features of monitoring.

Transient Elastography

Transient Elastography (TE) is a new innovative technology. The unicity of the method is that minor mechanical vibrations promoting transverse waves to hepatic tissue allow to cover the volume of measurement 100-200 times larger than the volume taken by biopsy. Estimation and measurement of tissue compliance is proceeded by ultrasound technology. Specific combined mechanical and ultrasound probe is used. Due to the mechanical wave with the preset parameters generated by this probe, we receive clinical accuracy of 97%.

Advantages of
transient elastometry method

One of main advantages of FT series of iLivTouch systems is the possibility to examine all kind of patients: children, men and women of standard body constitution as well as patients with enlarged subcutaneous tissues or even with obesity using only one all-purpose wide-band probe

Flexibility

  • flexibility of examination probe for all kind of patients: children, men and women
of standard body constitution and patients with obesity
  • accurate data for diagnosing the early state of disease
  • the possibility to use the system for conducted therapy monitoring and for evaluation of its efficiency.
  • no extra charges for system applying
  • examination takes max 5 minutes

Accuracy

  • the only system with the accuracy of 97%
  • examination reproducibility at the reinvestigation of the same patient with variation of results no more than 3%
  • WFUMB and EFSUMB (World and European Federations For Ultrasound In Medicine And Biology) recommendations, standards and recommendations of FASL (European Association for
the Study of the Liver) in applying Transient Elastography (TE) for checkups and discriminatory diagnosis.
  • Volume of measurement 100-200 times larger than the volume taken by biopsy

Safety

  • due to noninvasiveness patients more like to have examination
  • compared to biopsy is a common method of examination in the USA, Europe and China that is economically and commercially viable
  • scale of quality of the conducted examination and plausibility of measurements IQR maximally protects the operator from mistakes
  • technology is fully standardized and maximally independent from operator that helps to lower requirements for operator’s qualification
  • volume of measurement is entirely hepatic tissues that helps to lower the percentage of false-positive and negative results

Simplicity

  • no extra charges
  • examination takes max 5 minutes
  • Automatic and nondelay report on F1-F4 parameters for estimating the fibrosis state according to METAVIR scale with an estimation of fatty liver syndrome

Reviews

Review — Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine, Liver Transplant Center

The portable iLivTouch FT 100 system for non-invasive differentiation of liver disease stages has been tested in the liver transplant center of the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine for pre-transplant patient assessment, post-transplant follow-up, and evaluation of potential donor organ quality.

Twenty potential donors were examined in this way. The results of the non-invasive examination were verified by emergency histological testing. The initial findings suggest that the scanning is sufficiently representative for assessing the quality of organs from potential donors.

Review — Sechenov University, University Clinical Hospital No. 2

Elastometry is the gold standard for non-invasive imaging and objective assessment of liver stiffness. The hepatology department at University Clinical Hospital No. 2 (Sechenov University) actively conducts research and clinical work on screening and early liver disease. Elastometry is one of the most effective and safest diagnostic methods.

In October 2021, we had the opportunity to test a next-generation device — iLivTouch. Sixty examinations were performed in patients with both confirmed and unconfirmed liver disease diagnoses.

Review of iLivTouch from JSC “Medicina” (Academician Roytberg Clinic)

In August 2021, the device was available at JSC “Medicina” (Academician Roytberg Clinic) in the ultrasound diagnostics department for familiarization with its functionality and diagnostic capabilities. Our clinic’s physicians provide comprehensive patient assessment, including examination of internal organs and the liver. The device was installed in the diagnostics department and used alongside a FibroScan scanner and a premium General Electric ultrasound system equipped with an elastography module.

Review — “RZD-Medicina”

Early screening for liver fibrosis and steatosis remains a pressing issue and each year calls for a systematic, accessible, safe, and fast approach. Since 2009, the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases and Gastroenterology at A.I. Yevdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry (RZD-Medicina clinical base) has performed modern, highly reliable screening with FibroScan. In July 2021, an iLivTouch device was provided to the institution for a comparative study versus FibroScan.

Specialized Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 9 (Nizhny Novgorod)

In April 2022, the device was available at Specialized Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 9 (Nizhny Novgorod) under Margarita Viktorovna Neumoina, Head of Department and infectious disease physician, for familiarization with its functionality and diagnostic capabilities.

Volga District Medical Center (FBHI)

In March 2022, the device underwent evaluation at the Volga District Medical Center under Pavel Ivanovich Rykhtik, PhD. During the trial, 50 examinations were performed with iLivTouch, and the results were compared with those obtained on a premium ultrasound system.
